It's a double! After his triumph in 2010, Philippe Gilbert does it again and wins the Amstel Gold Race again. The race was well and truly dominated by the 28-year old from the Omega Pharma team, as he led from start to finish of the 260 km race, making breaks, up hill and downhill, always accompanied by the support of the vast enthusiastic public. A huge roar broke out as Gilbert crossed the finishing line, where he was followed by the Spanish rider Rodriguez and Australia's Gerrans.
"Everyone was marking me", the winner said, "just like what happened to Cancellara in the classics on the pavé, but here the routes are harder and the best stay ahead in an almost natural way".
And for this great ride, the champion Gilbert once again chose Rudy Project. For the very sunny conditions during the race, Philippe Gilbert chose Genetyk Racing Pro White with red photochromatic lenses, which can ensure excellent contrast and, therefore, perfect vision. In addition, the photochromatic lenses darken when necessary and offer total protection against light rays. A racy design, with wraparound mask style lenses and highly-advanced technology: these are the winning features of these glasses made for champions, ideal for places on the most important podiums. The end pieces of the temples can be adjusted in every direction by simply applying light pressure and, like the bridge, are in Megol® (allergy-proof silicon). This ensures a perfect fit so that the glasses adhere perfectly to the face under all conditions, preventing the frame from scratching. Fitted with adjustable end pieces and bridge, to ensure a perfect fit, Genetyk may also have clip-on parts for graduated lenses, attaching easily behind the sun lenses.
